Christmas time in the city is great, but there’s something special about a snowy New England winter. That’s why so many families and couples flock to Vermont to spend each holiday season at Stratton Mountain Resort. With its many ski trails, stunning views, and fun activities all-year round, the highest peak in Vermont is already a massive draw for locals and tourists alike. But when the holidays come around, this rugged Winter Wonderland becomes even more magical.
And this year, the Rent-A-Christmas Elf Squad dashed through the snow to provide some extra holiday magic!
A Christmas Village In The Vermont Mountains
The Stratton Mountain Resort features a total of 99 ski trails ranging from ‘easy’ to ‘advanced,’ letting all experience levels have fun safely. Even if you don’t ski, they have other fun activities like hiking, mountain biking, nature tours, and group yoga. There’s even an indoor pool and fitness center for those who need to keep their routines. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, have an incredible meal at one of many casual or fine dining restaurants, or spend some time shopping at the Stratton Mountain Village. When you’re finally done for the day, you can rest up in one of three dozen cozy lodges.
And if you think Stratton Mountain already looks like fun, then you a Christmas time visit is a must. Guests can enjoy nightly live holiday music and a wide range of winter activities. Slide down the Coca Cola Tube Park, go ice skating on the Mill House Pond, tour the landscape on a snowmobile or Snowcat, and enjoy a session of fireside yoga. They even host chapel services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, letting everyone honor this day the way they see fit. And they’ve got a full day planned for New Year's Eve, featuring a buffet, firework show, torchlight parade, and even a special kid's night out for children ages 7-13.
A Visit With Santa
Speaking of kids, Stratton Mountain has some extra fun activities just for them. They can decorate their own cookie or handmade ornament at the Homeowners Lounge and take in a holiday movie after a fun day of skiing. At a post-Christmas kids night out, they’ll paint their own holiday figure, go ice skating, and enjoy pizza and drinks. But the real highlight is Santa’s live meet-and-greet at the Village.
Stratton Village enlisted the help of the Elf Squad to make this photo opp extra magical. You’ll find him sitting on a gorgeous red & gold armchair, surrounded by decorated evergreen trees, lighted birch trees, penguins, oversized ornaments, and presents galore!
