The Hallmark Channel continues their yearly tradition of celebrating Christmas in July with a merry marathon of their original Christmas movies throughout the month. Starting July 1st, 2022, fans can enjoy daily holiday movie “merry-thons” from 10am until midnight. This, of course, comes after an early kickoff starting June 24th — aka six months until Christmas Eve — on their sister channel, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, which will run continuous holiday movies 24/7.
During the first weekend of July, Independence Day weekend, Hallmark will air several movies that were selected by the fans themselves, thanks to online polls that ran until June 19th. This includes such beloved movies as Switched for Christmas on July 1st, On the 12th Date of Christmas on July 2nd, and The Nine Lives of Christmas on July 3rd. And while you’re winding down from celebrating the Fourth of July, you can catch The Sweetest Christmas at 8pm Eastern Time.
In addition to these old favorites, fans will also be treated to the premiers of three brand new original Hallmark holiday movies, including one that is actually Christmas in July themed. Considering that the network normally debuts only one new holiday movie every summer, this is an extra special treat. Each holiday film was written and produced just for this year’s Christmas in July celebration and there are some very familiar names attached.
