Hallmark Media has teamed up with NBC Universal to make the holidays merrier… and more convenient. You can now stream content from Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama on Peacock.
Here, you’ll find a whole library of on-demand titles — including all those beloved Christmas movies — along with live telecasts from Hallmark itself. That means those with a Peacock Premium subscription can stream both brand new movies and all the Hallmark classics any time they want. This marks the first deal of its kind for the streaming service, even when compared to its first two with NBC and Bravo.
What Hallmark Means for Peacock
The partnership between Peacock and Hallmark Media officially started on November 2nd, 2022, which is just in time for everyone to catch up on all of this year’s new holiday movies. Hallmark Media president and CEO Wonya Lucas expressed her excitement over this brand-new deal in a recent statement.
"We’re proud to enter this partnership with Peacock and bring our widely beloved Hallmark content to their subscribers. The opportunity to provide our devoted fanbase access to all three of Hallmark’s linear networks will allow our audience to continue to grow and connect in meaningful ways." Wonya Lucas, Hallmark Media
Peacock President Kelly Campbell is equally as thrilled about this deal, and looks forward to seeing where this will lead the streaming service.
"As we continue to make Peacock a premium streaming destination, Hallmark is exactly the type of brand we want to align with. Through this groundbreaking partnership, we’re giving Hallmark viewers a unique viewing experience while continuing to grow our audience, boosting engagement across both brands."Kelly Campbell, Peacock President
Christmas On Peacock
Looking at the number of original Christmas films popping up across streaming platforms this holiday season, this partnership with Hallmark is actually a great strategic move for Peacock. Instead of a handful of original films that they must produce or distribute, they will now have access to 40 brand-new holiday films this season, as well as an incredibly impressive back catalogue of titles. For a full rundown of all the great new holiday fun coming to Peacock this season, here's All 40 of Hallmark's 2022 Holiday Films.
In addition to all the films from Hallmark, Peacock already has some solid holiday programming on their platform. Classic Christmas episodes of sitcoms like The Office, Parks and Recreation, Everybody Loves Raymond and Saturday Night Live are just the tip of the iceberg. Peacock also currently has Christmas movies ranging from some of our top picks for holiday horror like Black Christmas and Krampus, holiday guilty pleasures like Just Friends and Love Actually, and true Christmas classics such as the original animated Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Peacock’s rates start at $4.99 per month, with premium accounts up to $9.99 a month. As far as the Elf Squad is concerned, it's more than worth it to stream all of your favorite Hallmark Christmas movies this holiday season. And rewatching classic Christmas episodes of The Office is a fun bonus!
